Kick up the roots
1 oz Lemon juice 3 pieces of Ginger 3 leaves Basil Coconut water 1 oz Simple syrup Sparkling water

In a saucepan over low heat, make a simple syrup by dissolving 1 part of sugar in 1 part of water.

In a shaker, muddle the pieces of ginger. Express the basil leaves and put them in the shaker. Add ice, lemon juice and simple syrup. Close the shaker and shake vigorously for a few seconds. Double strain and serve on new ice in a Collins glass and top with sparkling water and coconut water (half and half). Garnish with a slice of ginger and basil leaves.
